I scouted the fishing in the Park City area in the fall before accepting my job at Deer Valley; I had to have some good fishing nearby for my days off--or so I thought. I ended up skiing every day of Deer Valley's season, except for two that I had to take off because of an injury. When Deer Valley closed, there was still plenty of snow on the mountains, but the valleys were pretty warm. It was time to get on the water.
